Goldie Wheeler Wilson, 78, of Rustburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was the wife of the late Woodrow (Woody) Wilson.

Born April 12, 1936 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late AL Loving Wheeler and Elai Lawhorne Wheeler.

Goldie is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Thomas Price and Cecil Wilson.

She is survived by three sisters, Kathy W. Price of Madison Heights, Mae W. Hamilton and husband Richard of Concord, and Hilda W. Wilson of Lynchburg; special niece, Peggy Hudson of Lynchburg; special friend,...

Goldie Wheeler Wilson, 78, of Rustburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was the wife of the late Woodrow (Woody) Wilson.

Born April 12, 1936 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late AL Loving Wheeler and Elai Lawhorne Wheeler.

Goldie is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Thomas Price and Cecil Wilson.

She is survived by three sisters, Kathy W. Price of Madison Heights, Mae W. Hamilton and husband Richard of Concord, and Hilda W. Wilson of Lynchburg; special niece, Peggy Hudson of Lynchburg; special friend, Neta Eagle of Rustburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Goldie was a member of Clearview Baptist Church for eighteen years and a faithful member until her illness.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Zane Kramer officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service starting at 10 am.
