Eleanor Elliott Phelps Bryant (Nanny), 88, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at Centra Hospice. She was the wife of the late Eugene Elmer "Dick" Bryant. Born March 15, 1928, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Lonza Phillip Elliott and the late Hazel Horsley Elliott.

Eleanor was a retired supervisor for Paktron, where she served for 19 years. Eleanor was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed camping with family, gardening and reading. Eleanor will be greatly missed as she was the center of the...

Eleanor Elliott Phelps Bryant (Nanny), 88, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at Centra Hospice. She was the wife of the late Eugene Elmer "Dick" Bryant. Born March 15, 1928, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Lonza Phillip Elliott and the late Hazel Horsley Elliott.

Eleanor was a retired supervisor for Paktron, where she served for 19 years. Eleanor was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed camping with family, gardening and reading. Eleanor will be greatly missed as she was the center of the loving family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Kaye Blomquist; and two brothers.

Eleanor is survived by her large and loving family. Leaving behind to cherish her life and memory is her son, Dale Phelps and his wife Cindy of Forest; stepson, Claude "Butch" Bryant and his wife Kathy of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren, Gary Blomquist, Shannon Blomquist and wife Lynn, Scott Blomquist and wife Melissa, Todd Phelps and wife Kelly, Don Phelps, Dabney Hanson and husband Donnie, Justin Dunkley and wife Lisa, and Landon Dunkley and wife Amanda; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
